A boutique cruiseline of distinction. Azamara's smaller ships reach unique destinations larger ships can't. With longer and more overnight stays so you truly immerse yourself in the places travelled.
Azamara offers elegant accommodation, fine wines and dining with a host of complimentary amenities.
Unmatched Amenities
The unique offerings of Azamara are beyond compare: butler service is provided in every suite; shore excursions are designed to let guests become part of the fabric of life in each destination, instead of merely being an observer; the enrichment programs offer everything from culinary to photographic explorations; two specialty restaurants provide the finest cuisine at sea; live entertainment can be enjoyed nightly; and the level of personal service offered is unmatched.
Smaller Ships - Out of the Ordinary Destinations
Azamara Club Cruises consists of two intimate ships, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest. Each can carry 694 fortunate guests to discover the hidden corners of the world that larger cruise ships simply cannot reach. In addition to offering a more personalized experience, the ships have recently undergone a $17.5 million revitalization including new European bedding and soft goods, flat screen televisions, new veranda decking and furniture, and wireless internet service in all staterooms and public areas. Plus, 93% of staterooms offer ocean views and 68% have a private veranda.
Why sail away with Azamara?
Experience the Azamara Difference. They don’t simply skim the surface but give their guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the destination. Yes, you’ll have ample time to sample the cuisine, the shopping, the museuwms, and the monuments, but with longer stays in ports and more overnights you’ll also have time to discover the hidden treasures that tourists seldom see.
Stroll down the Ponte Vecchio in Florence and witness the breathtaking sight of the bridge’s lights reflecting on the waters of the Arno below. Lovers of culture will be mesmerized by the traditional operas performed at the Mussorgsky Theater in Russia’s iconic St. Petersburg. Shimmering like a pearl in the moonlight, Bangkok truly comes alive at night with jazz clubs, trendy restaurants and shows ranging from the hedonistic to the spectacular.
The truth is, you don’t really know a place until you know it by night, and Azamara’s longer stays and more overnights, offer you a one of a kind experience at an unbelievable value – that’s the Azamara Difference! With Azamara, you’ll love where they take you…

Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course. Located at the world renowned Gleneagles Hotel in the heart of the Perthshire countryside. The course was created by Jack Nicklaus, and is a modern classic. It will host the 40th Ryder Cup Matches in 2014. The tees are graded at each hole in five stages, it can play long so choose your tees catefully. Fittingly, the PGA Centenary Course begins by playing southeast towards the glen, sweeping up the Ochil Hills to the summit of the pass below Ben Shee which joins it to Glendevon. A feature is the feast of views of the spectacular countryside in which Gleneagles is set. As with many Nicklaus Designs much of the trouble is short of the green, with deep bunkering and hazards a plenty.
A shared golf cart is included in the package.
Following golf transfer from the course to Leith (Edinburgh) to embark Azamara Journey. Circa 1hr 10mins
Overnight: At Sea
SUNDAY 29JUL12 – INVERGORDON, SCOTLAND
Castle Stuart Golf Links. The newest addition to the Links Courses of Scotland. Castle Stuart runs along the shores of the Moray Firth to the east of Inverness with wonderful views over to the Black Isle. Six holes hug the shoreline while the remaining holes are played over a terraced slope so views out to sea are ever present.
Designed by Mark Parsinen (Kingsbarns) and Gil Hanes, this is a true links course in every sense, with the Moray Firth brought into perspective as much as possible. Clever mounding ensures most holes are played in isolation from the rest. A specific feature prominent over the entire layout, is the use of expansive wild looking waste bunkering, which is also combined with strategic riveted face bunkers give the course a wonderfully natural look. Only opened for play in July 2009 the course is already receiving international recognition and awards.
A walking course where pull carts are included in the package. (Caddies can be requested and paid directly)
Distance from port: circa 50mins. Depart Invergordon 8:00pm

THURSDAY 02Aug12 – DUBLIN, IRELAND
Portmarnock Golf Club was formed in 1893. It lies on peninsula about two miles long to the north of Dublin City and covers some 500 acres. It is universally acknowledged as one of the truly great links courses, its quality and location have made it a splendid venue for some of the game’s great events, from the British Amateur Championship of 1949, to the Canada Cup in 1960, the 1991 Walker Cup and 12 stagings of the revived Irish Open. Within the curve of the coastline formed by Howth peninsula, it offers stunning views of Ireland’s Eye and Lambay Island, rising sharply from deep waters. But above all, there is the charm of its delightful turf, the wildness, the solitude of the sandhills and the sea, and the ever-present challenge of the wind. No two successive holes play in the same direction so it demands a continual discernment of wind direction. The course has some extraordinary holes including the 15th, which is regarded by Arnold Palmer as the finest par 3 in the world. It is invariably rated as one of Ireland's top three courses, like all the greats, Portmarnock offers a strong and potentially hazardous finish.
A walking course where pull carts are included in the package. (Caddies can be requested and paid directly)
Distance from port: circa 30mins.
Overnight: Dublin, Ireland
FRIDAY 03AUG12 – HOLYHEAD, WALES
Conwy Golf Club is one of Wales foremost championship courses. Founded in 1890, the course lies at the mouth of the River Conwy and is a flat links layout allowing for easy walking as it winds it way through the sand hills and gorse. A spectacular setting between mountain, castle, river and sea. The course measures 6,647 yards long but coastal golf is always challenging and make no mistake when the wind blows the true testing nature of Conwy is revealed. There are not two successive holes where the golfer would play with or into the wind. A striking feature is the last three holes which are of slightly different characteristics. Their difficulty lies in the need for accuracy in both the tee shots and approach to the greens. Host venue to the Wales Senior Open for the last two years.
Essentially a walking course a mixture of pull trolleys, carts (limited) are included in the package price.
Distance from port: circa 45mins
Overnight: At Sea

Golf National, located to the west of Paris at Guyancourt. Now acknowledged as one of the finest championship courses in Europe, the Albatros Course will host the Ryder Cup in 2018. The Albatros is a demanding course is one of the best and arguably toughest layouts in France. The open and often undulating terrain provides great definition to the holes, while long fescue grasses and gorse-like bushes lie in wait for wayward drives. Significant dune-like landscaping has given a British links-like feel to much of the course, while the water-laden closing stretch is more American in character. The putting surfaces are large and firm, and the whole site excellently maintained as a standard-bearer for golf in France.
A walking course where pull carts are included in the package.

TUESDAY 25SEP12 – ROME, ITALY
Roma Acquasanta. Located just 5km south east of Rome. This is one of Italy’s oldest clubs and there is no doubting the old-style charm and sense of history that surrounds this club. The course is a very pleasant, rolling parkland layout, that has stood the test of time, and still provides golfers of all levels with a thorough and enjoyable examination. The rise and fall of the course, as it follows the natural contours of this surprisingly rural environment constantly demands good course management and skilful shot-making. The sometimes narrow and often gently sweeping fairways are lined with attractive mediterranean pines, eucalyptus and cypresses. Relatively light bunkering is deployed around the usually small greens. Additionally you will see several ancient constructions (not least the aqueduct), farther into the distance you look onto a scenic array of villages, hills and mountains.
A shared golf cart is included in the package.
Following golf transfer from the course to Civitavecchia to embark Azamara Quest. Circa 1hr 15mins (depending on traffic)
Overnight: At Sea
WEDNESDAY 26SEP12 – LIVORNO, ITALY
No Golf – Day in Livorno for Pisa or Florence. Depart 10:00pm
THURSDAY 27SEP12 – PORTOFINO, ITALY
Rapallo Golf Club was founded in 1931, one of the oldest in Italy. It is located south east from Genoa in the hills of the Italian Riviera. The course is surrounded by the Ligurian mountains and plays through a landscape of cedars, cypresses and pines. It is not long at just over 6,200 yards and a par 70 but most holes will demand accuracy while three small streams come into play throughout the layout. There are a number of elevated tees as the course plays through the hills and watch out for the old church providing a wonderful backdrop at the 7th hole.
A shared Golf cart is included in the package price.
Distance from port: circa 25mins
Overnight: At Sea
FRIDAY 28SEP12 – MONTE CARLO, FRANCE
Cannes Mougins Golf & Country Club is located just 10mins from Cannes. The club dates back to 1923, but the current course was laid out in 1977 by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas and is unquestionably one of the best in the south of France. The course is played through a magnificent estate overlooked by an old olive mill and surrounded by oaks, pine trees and fields of Jasmine. Today it features all you would expect from a modern golf club with a wonderful history. Hosted the Cannes Open on the European Tour in the early 1990’s with famous winners including Seve Ballesteros and Greg Norman.
A shared Golf cart is included in the package price.
Distance from port: circa 45mins
Overnight: Monte Carlo, France
SATURDAY 29SEP12 – ST TROPEZ, FRANCE
No Golf – Depart Monte Carlo 2:00pm. Arrive St Tropez 7:00pm.
SUNDAY 30SEP12 – ST TROPEZ, FRANCE
From its lofty perch high above the town of Sainte Maxime, this immensely scenic and testing golf course offers stunning views across the bay and to St.Tropez. Sainte Maxime was designed by Don and Peter Harradine and they did an impressive job of transforming the hilly terrain into a playable layout. It is fare to say the accurate players may fair better than the wayward long hitter. The front nine plays into a valley, while water threatens on two holes. The more elevated and scenic back nine is when the views are offered over the Mediterranean Sean and to the inland forested hills.
A shared Golf cart is included in the package price.
Distance from port: circa 40mins
Overnight: At Sea
MONDAY 01OCT12 – SANARY SUR MER, FRANCE
The course at Fregate is situated on the Provencal Coast. It was designed by Ronald Fream and opened for play in 1992. The course is circled by vineyards, pine trees, rocks gardens while the Mediterranean Sea provides the ever present background. Fregate is a demanding course that requires imagination and at 6,791 yards a true test of golf. Although the terrain here is essentially flat, with the beautiful Tuscan hills rising up a kilometre or so to the south, Palmer has incorporated excellent earthmounding to ensure a thoroughly absorbing, well-defined and top-quality layout. Always presented in excellent condition, the profusion of stylish bunkering, deployment of several small lakes connected by sizable water ditches, and plenty of grassy rough lining the good-width fairways.

MONDAY, 15JUL13 - BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND - GOLF DAY
Today play at Royal County Down. Located in the town of Newcastle to the south of Belfast. Consistently ranked in the top 10 courses in the world, this is a true test of links golf set against the magnificent backdrop of the Mountains of Mourne.
The links stretches along the shores of Dundrum Bay, zigzagging back and forth to provide a different vista from virtually every hole. The narrowest ribbons of fairways thread their way through as impressive a set of sand dunes as could be imagined. The fairways are surrounded by purple heather and golden gorse, so beautiful to look at but so punishing for any who may stray from the prescribed path. The 'bearded' bunkers are world famous and feature overhanging lips of marram, red fescue and heather. The greens are fast and many are domed, rejecting any shot lacking conviction. This is a true test for any players on what is one of the toughest courses in the British Isles.

TUESDAY, 16JUL13 - GREENOCK, SCOTLAND - GOLF DAY
Play today at The Carrick on Loch Lomond. Named after the Canadian Course Architect, Doug Carrick and opened for play in June 2007. The course follows traditional Scottish heathland style and uses every inch of the dramatic landscape straddling the fault lines between the Scottish lowlands and highlands with nine holes set in each. Some of the elevated holes offer spectacular views of Loch Lomond to the west and Ben Lomond to the north, providing not only stimulating and challenging golf, but some breathtaking photo opportunities, none more so than the elevated tee 80ft above the green at the signature hole, the 199-yard, par 3, 14th called 'Tappet Doon'.
The greens are vast and unless you are on the correct side of the hole with your approach you will find two putts a real challenge. There are some water hazards in play notably on the #2, #3 & #4. A course that generally plays longer than the yardage on the card.

Golfers today will play Castle Stuart Golf Links.
Designed by Mark Parsinen (also of Kingsbarns fame) and Gil Hanes, this is a true links course in every sense, with the Moray Firth brought into perspective as much as possible. Clever mounding ensures most holes are played in isolation from the rest. A specific feature prominent over the entire layout, is the use of expansive wild looking waste bunkering, which is also combined with strategic riveted face bunkers give the course a wonderfully natural look. Only opened for play in July 2009 but already ranked in the top 100 in the world.

Play today at Kingsbarns Golf Links, a World Top 100 venue. Kingsbarns Golf Links only opened for play in the year 2000, and has joined the great courses of nearby St Andrews and Carnoustie, bringing with it a new dimension to the traditional Scottish game. Designed by Mark Parsinen & Kyle Philips, the course makes excellent use of the natural surroundings which will continually have you thinking its been around for a hundred years or more.
The layout is expansive and undulating and provides ever present views onto the shoreline and out across the North Sea. Everything you would expect of a top quality links course is here in abundance, classic links holes arranged in two out and back loops, wide sweeping fairways and large undulating greens. From the tee the course is forgiving, but stray from the desired line and you face the tougher approach to the green. The greens are testing and will require an excellent judgement of pace and line.

SUNDAY, 21JUL13 - LEITH (EDINBURGH), SCOTLAND - GOLF DAY
Today, attend the final round of the 142nd Open Golf Championship at Muirfield.
The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, as the golf club at Muirfield is properly known, is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world, and the source of the earliest written rules of golf, which date back to 1744. The club has been based at Muirfield since 1891 after moving from their previous home at the links in nearby Musselburgh. The course is renowned amongst golfers as being perhaps the fairest test of all the Open venues, with few of the quirky bounces and hidden danger that links courses often contain. Two circuits of nine rotate in opposite directions, the back nine looping inside the front nine, ensuring that the golfer is never faced with the same wind direction on two consecutive holes. Muirfield will host the Open for a 16th time with previous winners including Els, Faldo, Watson, Nicklaus, Player, Hagen and Vardon.
Transfers from Azamara Quest in Leith to Gullane (Muirfield) will operate to a scheduled timetable giving flexibility during the day to stay as long as you wish at the tournament.
