San Juan
San Juan is a major port and tourist resort of the West Indies and is the oldest city under the U.S flag. The metropolitan area known as San Juan has 3 distinct areas: Old San Juan, the New San Juan, and other outlying communities, the most important: Río Piedras, Hato Rey, Puerta de Tierra, and Santurce. The old part of San Juan was founded in 1521 and is now officially declared a National Historic Zone. Many 16th- and 17th-century buildings have been restored and refurbished in the original Spanish style. This part of the city boasts many shops, restaurants, art galleries and museums.
Charlestown
Charlestown is the capital city of the carribean island Nevis. It is a charming town, with decorated wooden buildings with great arches of brilliantly colored bougainvillaea. Sights in or near Charlestown include: Nevis Philatelic Bureau, the Public Library, the Market, Bath House (one of the oldest hotels in the Leeward Islands), Eva Wilkin’s studio, Eden Brown’s Great House, Fig Tree Church, Nelson Museum, Bath Hot Springs and the Newcastle Pottery.
Charlotte Amalie
Charlotte Amalie, is the main town on the island of St Thomas and the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands. It offers elegant dining, exciting nightlife, and world-class duty-free shopping. The city's reputation as the shopping mecca of the Caribbean draws visitors from all over the region and around the world. Imported goods from all over the world and stores tucked into remodeled Danish warehouses line each side of the picturesque Main Street. Cobblestoned alleys with numerous boutiques lead down to the waterfront.
