2005 was the centenary year of The Juilliard School, but the celebration continues as we salute the famous New York conservatory on this sailing of the Seven Seas Navigator with students and faculty participating making great music in the Baltic. In addition to the performances showcasing outstanding young musicians, guest lecturers share with you the history of this acclaimed institution that has had such a great impact on the arts in America . We also have the opportunity to explore music ashore - visit the Sibelius house in Helsinki , attend a ballet in St. Petersburg and more. From limelight to spotlight, we're celebrating great music when we welcome students and faculty from The Juilliard School aboard the Seven Seas Navigator and reveal the Baltic in all its musical glory.

When the Seven Seas Mariner leaves Alaska to begin her Grand Pacific sojourn, the soundtrack is provided by one of the most masterful of all chamber ensembles, the Fine Arts Quartet. With a little help from several musical friends, the Fine Arts Quartet celebrates its 60th anniversary - a milestone in chamber music and an opportunity to celebrate the amazing range of this ensemble. From teatime recitals to evening concerts, we explore masterworks of the chamber repertoire and some lighter fare as well when we turn our Spotlight on Music for a Pacific Crossing aboard the Seven Seas Mariner .

With this voyage, music lovers travel to classical antiquity with classical music provided by the acclaimed Portland String Quartet and pianist Virginia Eskin.
